Further Information
The Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), defines two main series of paper sizes. They are the JIS A Series, and the JIS B Series. Both of the these series are widely available in Japan, as well as China and Taiwan. The JIS A Series is exactly the same as the ISO A Series, but with different tolerances. Both the JIS A Series and the JIS B Series have the same aspect ratio, but the area of the B Series paper is 1.5 times larger than the A Series. As well as the JIS A and B Series, there are a number of traditional Japanese paper sizes used mostly by printers. These include Shiroku-ban and Kiku, which are the most commonly used.
